ARType vzw werd in 2014 opgericht. Met de opmars van poëzie geschreven voor het podium, kwam het idee om een muziektheatergezelschap op te richten dat de kruisbestuiving tussen verschillende disciplines stimuleert.
ARType vzw was founded in 2014. As spoken word rose as a genre, the idea came to start a music theatre company to stimulate cross-pollination of different disciplines.
ARType vzw wil nieuwe, relevante en eigentijdse kunstvormen ondersteunen en in aanraking brengen met elkaar. Ze vertrekt vanuit het gesproken woord, dat zich vervolgens laat beïnvloeden om een broeiplaats te zijn voor zowel beginnende als gevestigde artiesten.
ARType vzw wants to support new, relevant and contemporary art forms and bring them into contact with each other. It starts from the spoken word, which then allows itself to be influenced to be a hotbed for both emerging and established artists.
ARType vzw is a partner for innovative performances in which artists challenge each other across genres and push the boundaries of their craft. By playfully matching form and content, they seek balance between depth and accessibility.
